To ensure absolute signal fidelity, all PRV Audio products are tested with CLIO12, a multi-measure fully integrated hardware-software platform. One such product is the 6MR200A-4 midrange car speaker, which is designed for low frequencies with a shallow 2.24-inch mounting depth.

The 6MR200A-4 is the evolution of the 6MR250A, engineered to produce the highest possible output from a compact design without sacrificing performance. Featuring a smooth response through the mid-bass and vocal range, even at the loudest volumes, this midrange speaker is well-suited for use in professional three-way live sound cabinets, as a high-output car audio door speaker, or as a midrange in a bass guitar speaker.

With a 200-watt RMS program power, the 6MR200A-4 delivers high acoustical output capability from a relatively small amplifier. To achieve this, the speaker utilizes a cloth-sealed surround combined with a carefully crafted Kevlar-loaded paper cone, and a vented pole piece allows heat to escape, reducing power compression.

The ALTO Series, of which the 6MR200A-4 is a part, was carefully crafted and voiced to reproduce a natural, smooth sound while remaining dynamic. A special composite cone is used to smooth the frequency response and keep the moving mass low, increasing the efficiency.

Key specifications of the 6MR200A-4 include a 6.5-inch (165mm) nominal diameter, 4-ohm nominal impedance, 94dB sensitivity, and a frequency response of 155Hz to 11,000Hz. The speaker features a 1.5-inch (38mm) copper voice coil winding on a Kapton former, with a 5.5mm magnetic gap depth and a stamped steel frame.
